I put this drive in an Asus 1000HE netbook. The netbook boots quickly and now the netbook is very quiet. No more whining hard disk sound.

Installation is easy because the SSD has the same form factor and interface as a 2.5" hard disk.

In my case I rebuilt the system from scratch to take advantage of a clean install. No regrets with this SSD.

I bought two of these just to goof around with and see if purchasing some with more storage would be worth the price. Intel gives you free access to their data migration software which checks to be sure you have an Intel SSD in order to work.
One of these drives set up just fine but the other one wasn't recognized by the data migration software. I used the same machine for both drives.
The unrecognized drive does work, just not with the data migration software. I was able to get it going using Apricorn.

I have an older PC that had some damaged sectors on the hard drive. I tried to replace it with a larger hard drive, but the back-up disk that came with the PC would only work with a 40gig HD. After messing around for several months I bought this Solid State HD and installed it. The boot-up time is super fast. With the old HD when I connected my i-pod, i-tunes would take forever to load and sync. Now i-tunes comes up in a few seconds and syncing is real quick. The difference between a traditional Hard drive and a Solid State hard drive in speed alone is worth the cost.
